Classes/Events

On February 10, 2023 we will have our first class of the year!  We will be covering the herbs Comfrey, Oregon Grape and Stinging Nettle.  We will go over the herb’s properties, background, historical uses and scientific studies covering current findings.  Each student receives a packet of information that also includes recipes and formulas for them to try at home should they wish to do so.  Cost of the class is $11 per person and it begins at 10 a.m. at the Teweepuu Community Center in Orofino, Idaho 83544 (45555 Hwy 12).

On February 18, 2023 we will be having our first class of the year for the Kooskia/Kamiah area.  We will be having our herbal potluck combined with our herb info. class.  The potluck herbs we will be featuring are rosemary and celery.  All your dishes must feature one or both herbs.  Please bring copies of the recipes you use to share with the other students in case they want to make your dish at home for their loved ones.  You will need to bring your own eating and serving utensils.  I will provide the plates and napkins.  If you are bringing a soup and/or beverage you will need to bring the bowls/cups for those items.  The potluck portion of the class will begin at Noon.  For the information portion of the class we will be covering the herbs Fennel, Lamb’s Quarter and Bay Leaves.  This will begin at 1 p.m. and cost for the class is $11 per person.  This class is at a private residence in Kooskia.  For more information please call 208-935-8467.
